About the place
The national monuments list dates the church to 1270–1280, with changes in the 16th century. The west portal is Romanesque, with columns decorated with leaves. The west tower was raised by two storeys for defence.
Low parts of the oval ring wall survive, and the foundations of a gate tower can be seen on the street side. The vault with lunettes was added in 1765.
Good to know
- The west portal can be seen even when the church is closed.
- The tower cannot be entered for safety reasons; you can park in front of the church.
