About the place
Arena Platoș was renamed Păltiniș Arena in 2023. Its website lists the Arena, A, B1, B2, E and Zero runs, a fun park and a sledge run, plus a chairlift, drag lifts and beginner conveyors. There are two ski and snowboard schools, equipment hire and an après-ski bar.
In the 2025–2026 season the area opened on 29 November 2025, on a run covered with snow stored over the summer. Local press called it Romania's first snow-farming system. That season, evening skiing was announced on Wednesdays and Saturdays, until 21:00.
